BENCH 99 CAMBRIDGE 1
A stunning, wrought iron garden bench made in the Boulton & Paul Ltd. Foundry in Norwich around June 1897, with rivetted construction. It's in perfect condition considering it is 130 years old, complete with a patina of rust and old paint. All the rivets are sound as are the metal slats. The maker's badge is intact to the front. The curved seats and seat backs are a distinct feature of this 6' bench together with the scrolled armrests and feet.
This can be sold as an almost identical pair with its sister bench, Cambridge 2. Please email us for a quotation. The details of the bench No. 22A are in the Boulton &Paul book 'Catalogue no. 97' produced in 1898 which will be given to the buyer upon purchase of the pair.
This is a truly remarkable piece of garden art, both historically and aesthetically and a great investment for the future.
