BENCH 113 NORTHWICH
A fully blown 6’ long, four person beast of a Coalbrookdale bench from the C19th. It is from the famous foundry in Ironbridge and is known as the Whitworth pattern. It was often seen in municipal parks in Victorian times. It has a Faux Bois cast iron structure culminating at the base with Lion's Paw feet. It has been stripped and hand painted in Racing Green RAL 6005 similar to the original Brunswick Green but a shade darker. Its an original Coalbrookdale and stamped no. 336719 below the lozenge mark. To complement the size and weight of the cast iron support ends we made the seating out of ex 47mm thick European Oak. The edges are chamfered and the hardwood is finished with three coats of Danish oil. The seat slats are held down by M10 stainless steel carriage bolts. This magnificent piece of Victorian garden art will last lifetimes and is a great investment for the future.
