An impressive, 6' long Victorian wrought iron strap work garden bench of wonderful character from the 1860's, acquired from an historic estate in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. It has rivetted construction with slatted seating and a part slatted back making it incredibly comfortable. The armrests are beautifully scrolled and an arched and linear stretcher spans from each support giving it stability. The feet too are scrolled. It is very old, a true antique and has a superb untouched surface. original throughout and free from damage and repair. It displays a patina of age with old paint and algae. We feel privileged to have sourced this bench and look forward to seeing it in its rightful setting being admired, either indoors or out. This is a great piece of garden art that has stood the test of time and will be an investment for the future.
