    BENCH 41 MARCH

    £675.00

British benches is proud to have this beautiful piece on its books. A classic 6' long, Victorian cast iron bench from c1870 in the style of the Coalbrookdale pattern with ornate scrolled foliage supports and beautifully curved oak seating. The ironwork has been left as originally found to keep the subtle patina but the seating has been replaced with 45mm x 25mm reclaimed oak battens purchased from Balliol College Oxford. The hardwood is fixed with silver stainless carriage steel bolts. There is a stretcher bar under to offer extra lateral restraint. It is pleasantly comfortable and has great aesthetics. This rare example of garden art will not only be a great addition to your garden but an attractive long term investment.
